Tony is a Certified Arborist and a Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP) with over 45 years of experience in the tree and landscape fields in the Las Vegas area. For ten years Tony owned and operated his own landscape company. As a Certified Horticulturist, he did landscape irrigation and design for 12 years. He also worked for 2 years as a superintendent of a golf course before starting First Choice Tree Service, Inc. in 1989. First Choice Tree Service is now the largest tree service company in Nevada. Tony is a member of the International Society of Arboriculture, a member of the Western Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture and is an active board member of the Southern Nevada Arborist Group. Tony also received the Trailblazer Award for outstanding contributions to arboriculture in Southern Nevada.

Gene is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada, with over 30 years’ experience in the Las Vegas area. Gene’s extensive experience consists of specializing in tree climbing, tree removals and transplanting, and landscape design and installation services. He’s also considered an expert in the fuel reduction of Southern Nevada mountain ranges, working closely with the Nevada Division of Forestry and the U. S. Department of Forestry. His vast experience ultimately landed him in his current position with First Choice Tree Service. As the Senior V. P., General Manager his responsibilities include sales, and business and crew development. Gene is a member of the Southern Nevada Arborist Group and the Western Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture.

Edgar’s landscape and tree industry experience spans back to 1991, starting as a laborer with a local landscape company. He later became the supervisor of all landscape field operations region wide for U.S. Landscape. Edgar ultimately rose to the position of Vice President, Maintenance and Landscape Construction with U. S. Landscape. His responsibilities included supervision of all divisional superintendents, foremen, maintenance, mechanics, sales and administrative staff. Edgar also worked for 10 years with Valley Lawn Care as their General Manager where his responsibilities included management of all office, field, and landscape maintenance and construction sales. Edgar joined the First Choice Tree Service Team in 2015 as the V. P., Director of Operations. He is a Certified Arborist and a Certified Tree Care Safety Professional (CTSP). As the V. P. of Operations, his responsibilities include management of all field production and landscape construction activities, sales, scheduling and office staff.

Through years of hard work, First Choice Tree Service is now the largest and most reputable tree care company in Southern Nevada. Our highly skilled professionals, including experienced tree climbers, pruning specialists, heavy equipment operators, and ISA-Certified Arborists are ready to help you with tree care projects, large and small.
OUR FACILITY AND EQUIPMENT
Our Las Vegas facility encompasses nearly five acres and includes office buildings, a nursery and tree salvage holding area, plus a recycling area where we process 99 percent of our green waste into beneficial products such as firewood and wood chips.
With a fleet of state-of-the-art vehicles and machinery, First Choice Tree Service is fully equipped to handle even the most complex jobs.

Certified Arborists are individuals who have achieved a level of knowledge in the art and science of tree care and have passed a comprehensive examination. They are also required to continue their education in order to maintain their certification, ensuring their knowledge is updated on the latest arboriculture techniques. First Choice Tree Service currently has five Certified Arborists on staff.
