Stephen Quintana joined First Choice Tree Service in August 2018 as a Fleet Assistant Manager and quickly advanced to Safety Assistant in January 2019. During his tenure in this role, he earned his OSHA 30 certification and played a pivotal role in dramatically reducing safety incidents from approximately 17 per year to between 0 and 4 annually. His contributions included developing and implementing comprehensive safety training programs, integrating safety protocols into new employee orientations, and continuously updating policies to align with the latest safety practices and audits.
In March 2022, Stephen was promoted to Safety Manager and achieved Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP) status through the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA). Since then, he has further refined his expertise in reducing costs, claims, and incidents, ensuring the highest standards of safety within the company.
Before joining First Choice Tree Service, Stephen accumulated over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including food and beverage management at MGM Resorts International. Notably, he served as a restaurant manager for Michelin Star recipient, celebrity chef Michael Mina.
Outside of work, Stephen enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children, balancing his roles as a soccer dad and adventure enthusiast. He is actively involved in community outreach and volunteers for organizations such as Three Square. Stephen’s dedication to safety and community makes him a valuable member of the First Choice Tree Service team, and we are proud to have him on board.
