AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM FIRST CHOICE TREE SERVICE

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM FIRST CHOICE TREE SERVICE

Last night, Gov. Sisolak ordered a 30 day closure of all nonessential businesses throughout Nevada in an effort to combat the rapid transmission of the coronavirus or “COVID19” in our state. Businesses considered as “essential services” are exempt from the order.

Landscapers and tree care services are partners during this critical time in assisting in the protection of public health and public safety. We protect homes, businesses and communities by performing services necessary to maintaining the safety, sanitation, and essential operation of residences, essential activities and essential businesses. Pruning and tree removals are also critical services of our industry to prevent safety hazards, property damage, and reduce the risk of injuries. Well maintained landscapes of our homes, businesses, parks and communities contributes to our collective well-being and morale during this very difficult time.

Rest assured, First Choice Tree Service is aggressively following the CDC’s guidelines to prevent the transmission of COVID19, both in our field operations and in our offices. We have put policies in place to ensure social distancing with our customers and within our staff. We are committed to doing our part as a company, as individuals and as Nevadans to stop the transmission of COVID19. We sincerely appreciate your continued trust in First Choice Tree Service.

FALLEN TREE EMERGENCIES

FALLEN TREE EMERGENCIES

Southern Nevada is known for its ferociously windy days. The National Weather Service frequently issues wind advisories in the Greater Las Vegas area. Sustained winds of 30-45 mph with wind gusts of 70 mph or higher are not uncommon, especially when associated with a severe weather event. So fallen trees after such an event is almost to be expected.

Emergency tree services can be expensive. However, you can save money if you can determine whether or not your fallen tree requires prompt attention. Clearly, it’s always best to err on the side of caution. If your fallen tree presents a safety hazard to you or your home, or has fallen on vehicles or is blocking traffic, you’ll need to seek emergency services. Otherwise, if urgency is not a factor, branch or tree removal services can be regularly scheduled (not during extracurricular or overtime hours); avoiding costly emergency service rates.

The best way to know for certain is to call a tree care professional to assess whether your situation is critical and requires immediate attention or if it can be scheduled in the normal course of business, saving you money.
