HOLIDAY LIGHTING

HOLIDAY LIGHTING

Although it’s only September, we are full swing into our holiday lighting season. In fact, we just wrapped up our first installation of the season at the Springs Preserve. Tony Valenti has a passion for making the holiday season merrier and brighter. He first started with spectacular light displays at his own home, then started to receive requests from commercial properties and community HOA’s to deck their halls with beautiful holiday décor, and the rest is history. Some of our holiday lighting customers include the Wynn, Providence Master HOA and McCarran Marketplace. Our lighting will be on full display at the Springs Preserve until the first week of January, 2020.

Go check them out while enjoying many of the upcoming events scheduled at the Springs Preserve, like their 10th Annual Grapes & Hops Festival and their Haunted Harvest: https://www.springspreserve.org/

It’s Never Too Soon To Think About Your Pruning Needs

It’s Never Too Soon To Think About Your Pruning Needs

Cooler weather will be upon us soon! It is best to prune thin bark trees, such as plum, pear and Raywood Ash trees in the fall and winter months when the leaves have dropped and it is easier to see the structure of the tree, allowing you to prune only what is necessary. Winter is considered the dormant season for deciduous trees. Pruning during this time will maintain the trees energy reserves that encourage new growth and allow your trees to be invigorated. Winter is also the optimal time to trim pine trees to reduce mess from running sap and to allow cuts to heal properly.

Let our ISA Certified Arborists take a look at your trees to determine the type of pruning needed to help you protect your most valued landscape investment—your trees. Call us for all your fall and winter pruning needs at 702-564-1998

WHY IS PLANT HEALTH CARE SO IMPORTANT?

WHY IS PLANT HEALTH CARE SO IMPORTANT?

We love our trees. We love their beauty and the value they add to our homes. However, we receive many calls from tree owners concerned there is something wrong with their tree. Everything from a tree branch has died, the leaves are dropping from the tree when they are not supposed to, to their tree just looks sick or just doesn’t look well. Many times the cause could be something minor but it’s important to get to the root of what the issue could be before it’s too late.

Maladies in trees can have many different causes. It could be your tree is lacking in much needed nutrients, or is suffering from a pest infestation, or could have a disease causing its decline.  The best course of action is to contact a plant health specialist who can help you identify the issue and offer recommendations and treatments to bring your trees back to their full beauty and health. But mostly, it’s important to not wait until your tree presents a serious condition. It’s best to maintain your tree’s health with regular fertilization, and insect and disease control applications. Call our office today to learn more or to schedule a plant heath assessment for your trees and shrubs.
